BP oil spills still taking its toll
Across the globe, three years post the BP oil spill people are still finding oil spillage not in Deepwater Horizon but in Tampa Bay, Florida. It is reported that BP had sprayed the oil mess with a substance called Corexit, which does not completely rid the ocean or area of oil but only allows it to break up. This causes the oil to bundle up and disperse, which almost always means that it will land up on a coastline. The presence of these oil blobs dispersed in the water is very harmful to the creatures that call it their home and can even cause mutations. The fight against BP to take responsibility for their mess is still in progress.
